Elephant Club Honorary Chair ~ Senator Rudy Boschwitz

Senator Rudy Boschwitz served as a republican United States Senator from Minnesota from 1978-1991. He served as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Commission to Geneva in 2005. He also served as President George H.W. Bush's Emissary to Ethiopia in 1991. He is currently a resident of Minneapolis, MN.  

Elephant Club Co-Chair ~ Susan McDonald

Susan McDonald has been an active member in the Republican Party most of her life. She began her activism at a very young age, door knocking and walking in parades for her father KJ McDonald, Carver County State Representative for over 14 years. She has been a Republican Party Delegate since 1998 working as a staffer on many campaigns local, state and federal. A few to highlight are Coleman for Governor (1998)/Senator (2002 & 2008), Hennepin County Co-Chair for Bush 2004 and Emmer for Governor 2010. She went on to serve as a health policy advisor for Senator Coleman and Governor Pawlenty’s Health Cabinet implementing the most innovative health reform policy in Minnesota history. Susan remains in the health policy industry and has an extensive understanding of health policy and the Affordable Care Act. Susan received her Bachelor's Degree from the College of St. Catherine’s and is working on her Masters in Health Care Administration and Policy from Capella University.

Elephant Club Co-Chair ~ Rick Rice

Rick Rice graduated from the University of St Thomas, BA, Business and the American College, as a Chartered Life Underwriter, CLU. His life as a political activist began early: Rick started putting bumper stickers on cars about age ten, graduating to door knocking at age 16. In his twenties he worked as lawn sign captain on various campaigns and started attending local BPOU events. During his thirties he added working telephones for "Get Out the Vote" efforts, moved on to the large 4x8 sign crews in his forties. In his fifties he ran for the MN House of Representatives in a no win situation behind enemy lines in HD 44B. He continues today with candidate campaign and Minnesota Republican Party fundraising. 

Rick worked thirty plus years with Northwestern Mutual and currently is a full time career agent with MassMutual specializing in comprehensive financial, estate, retirement, disability and long term care planning. His dedication to the insurance industry continues by having held or currently holding numerous positions in the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, NAIFA, advocating for his industry at the local, state, and national levels as Minnesota Director of Government Relations and Chair of Minnesota State Advisors Political Involvement Committee. Rick is married with two sons, and lives in St Louis Park, MN.
